This week at 2K Games: Friday Edition

A lot has been going on 'round these parts lately, so starting today, I'll be posting a weekly entry highlighting what has been happening in the various 2K Games communities. So let's get down to it, shall we? Here's what we've been up to:

Civilization V: New info about Civilization V has started, and we're picking up the pace at an alarming speed. We just announced the retail Special Edition for Civilization V, including an artbook, behind-the-scenes DVD, 2-CD soundtrack, and five metal figurines. Our Community Manager, Greg Laabs, has also been chained to his desk cranking out community features exploring the new aspects of the game. This week, he revealed Strategic View much to the delight of gamers everywhere.

Mafia II: Today, we announced the first downloadable content for Mafia II: Jimmy's Betrayal and Jimmy's Vendetta. We also recently released the PC Specs for the game (so you can start upgrading your rig, if you are anything like me.) And, of course, Frankie Potts is still in deep with the Mafia families of Empire Bay. Check out his story and enter the contest for a chance to win the Ultimate Sony Gaming Experience (including a gigantic TV!)

Stay tuned for more info on Mafia II - we just let the press get their hands on the game and they'll be typing up a storm about what they thought.

Spec Ops: The Line: Official Facebook and Twitter pages went live for Spec Ops: The Line. Be sure to follow them to keep up to date on the latest news (and have a chance to win cool stuff.) We also began our Multiplayer Beta yesterday - you can apply to take part now - we're still accepting testers!

That about wraps up the week for you - If you want to hear more about anything you read above, hit me up in the comments or on our various community sites for more info.
